precolor® compounds for highly demanding PVC applications – highly resilient and optimally bonded.

PMMA and ASA compounds are an efficient way of upgrading PVC products in accordance with the application. The matching of the colorants, additives and raw polymers plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and stable manufacturing process. Once developed and designed, precolor® compounds significantly increase the surface resistance and service life of the products.

A co-extruded compound layer of PMMA significantly extends the life expectancy and quality of a PVC roof gutter. In-house development pays off.”

Strong, stable compounds.

optimally matched

We configure the colorant in precise accordance with the raw polymer, the processing conditions and the required application.

color brilliance

Our compounds are also convincing when used outdoors due to their intense, saturated and pure colors with excellent light and weather fastness characteristics.

constant and true to color

We ensure consistently good processing properties as well as the optimum consistency of the hue with every delivery.

well dried

To optimize the processing of the compound in your system, we reduce the residual moisture in all compound mixtures in our process.

Know-how for your product.

precolor® compounds are specially aligned and developed according to your applications. From coated roof guttering and window profiles through to various technical profile applications.

ASA

With ASA compounds, PVC applications can be enhanced on a particularly economical basis. Thanks to the comparable rheological properties, it is only necessary to make minor adjustments to the mold and the system. In the co-extrusion or injection molding process, aging-resistant and stable color product lines are made for sidings, roof guttering or window profiles, for example.

PMMA

Surfaces with PMMA compounds make PVC products light-stable via co-extrusion, color-precise as well as particularly durable and scratch-resistant. This finish, which is made from high-quality acrylate, is used in window profiles or panels, but also places considerable demands on the choice of pigment, the flow properties and the mold technology.

No fluctuations in the process or batch. In three complex steps, we ensure the quality wherever it may be.

Homogeneous pigment mixture

The pigment selection to be developed is processed on a uniform and gentle basis in a controlled mixing process. An initial important step on the way to achieving a precisely colored, well-dispersed result.

Masterbatch production

The masterbatch is the basis for a highly efficient compounding process. In this respect, the pigmentation and polymer carriers are processed into a high-quality color concentrate precisely and with the use of tried-and-tested quality assurance measures.

Compounding

State-of-the-art production facilities allow for the highly accurate production of the compounds and consistent quality in all cases of production.

I really enjoy providing technical and commercial support to our customers. I have been at Farbenwerke since graduating in Business Engineering from technical university in 2003, and now focus on the technical refinement of the pigmenting of plastics and synthetic building materials. In addition to this varied primary task, I also channel my creative juices as Head of Marketing at Farbenwerke. I look forward to receiving any questions you may have and to hearing about your ideas.
